The PocketWizard MultiMAX Transceiver is a digital radio trigger that provides remote triggering of your flash units, cameras or both.

You can mount the MultiMAX Transceiver on your camera's hot shoe or connect it to the camera's PC socket with the supplied sync cord. Other MultiMAX Transceivers can be connected to flash units for remote triggering up to 1600 ft away... or more.

Since it utilizes Transceiver Technology, it's both a Transmitter and Receiver all in one unit. At a flip of a switch it can be set to either Transmit or Receive radio signals or both individually or simultaneously

The MultiMAX has 32 channels:
16 Standard (Classic) channels (1-16), and 16 Selective Quad-Triggering channels (17 - 32) for quick and easy remote trigger control of multiple flash units, cameras or both.

The Quad Triggering zones are controlled by the A, B, C and D buttons. Activating or deactivating each Quad- Triggering Zone--allowing you to turn on or off any flash unit or camera in that zone. The L button activates or deactivates a flash attached to the camera; it's all quick and easy!

On channels 17 to 32 automatic Trigger Confirmation on all four Quad-Triggering zones plus flash confirmation (with an optional confirmation sensor) is possible up to 1600 feet away or more.

Separate confirmation symbols on the LCD panel indicate radio and flash confirmation independent of each other. Confirmation is visible on the LCD panel, along with an audible feedback, which allows you to keep your eye on the composition.
