You can use the Canon 580EX II to manually adjust power levels on remote Speedlites mounted on PocketWizard FlexTT5 Tranceivers to precisely control exposure.

Here's how to get started:

STEP 01
Set the camera’s exposure mode to “M” Manual. Set your shutter speed and aperture appropriately.

Do not set the remote flash to SLAVE mode, Manual mode, or worry about matching the Canon channel.  The FlexTT5 handles all of that for you.  Just leave the remote flash in basic E-TTL mode.

Set the FlexTT5 Zone Selector to “A.”

Adjusting power levels of remote flashes:

Turn the SELECT dial to select Zone A or Zone B. Press the SELECT button to adjust the power level for the Zone A or Zone B flash unit. Turn the SELECT dial to adjust the power level for each Zone. Press the SELECT button to lock in the setting and select the second flash.  In this scenario, the on-camera flash is part of Zone A.  If you do not wish to have the on-camera flash contribute light to the scene, then see Step 05  in the Wireless Ratios with Remote Flash for instructions about turning it off.

You can have as many remote flashes on the same Zone as you wish, each mounted on a FlexTT5.

NOTE: To use the flashes with High Speed Sync, the Master flash must be set for High Speed Sync via the flash's menu. It is not necessary for the remote flashes.
