NOTE: As of July 2013, we've replaced all -P cables with a Pre-Trigger Mono Miniphone (PTMM) Adapter. This adapter works with the CM-N3-ACC to convert it from a -ACC cable to a Pre-Trigger (-P) cable for pre-releasing your shutter. So if you are looking for a CM-N3-P cable and cannot find one, ask your local or online retailer for a CM-N3-ACC cable and a PTMM Adapter and you'll be good to go. This change coincides with the introduction of our new retail packaging. All cables are now packaged in an eco-friendly 100% recycled paperboard box with white labels showing both ends of the cable as well as compatibility list. This replaces our old packaging of a zipped plastic bag.
PocketWizard radio compatibility:
·
Plus II
· MultiMAX with no ACC port
· For the PlusX, Plus
III, MultiMAX with ACC port, or FlexTT5
radios, use the CM-N3-ACC.
Description: This cable contains a pre-trigger switch. When enabled, the camera behaves as if the camera's shutter release button were held half-pressed continuously. This makes the camera respond more quickly and consistently, but also consumes the camera's batteries much more quickly. When disabled, this cable functions identically to the CM-N3. Using a CM-N3-ACC cable with a PTMM Adapter will provide the same functions as a CM-N3-P cable.
This –P cable works with most PocketWizard radios and has a switch that allows you to toggle half-press on or off at the remote camera's position, but not from the transmitting radio.
A Standard Cable works with most PocketWizard radios but has no half-press control, and is for basic remote triggering only. (Using a CM-N3-ACC cable with a MSMM Adapter will provide the same function as a CM-N3 cable.)
An –ACC cable allows a compatible PocketWizard radio to independently control both half-press and full-press functions, as well as relay TTL signals to compatible speedlights when using FlexTT5s. (Using a CM-N3-ACC cable with a PTMM Adapter will provide the same function as a CM-N3-P cable.)
Compatible with the following radios:
PlusX, Plus II, or MultiMAX with no -ACC port: Use this cable to remotely fire your camera and control half-press function at the camera’s position.
Plus III : This cable can remotely fire your camera and control
half-press function at the camera’s position.
Use a –ACC
cable for best results and to have half-press capability from the transmitting
radio.
MultiMAX with –ACC port: This cable can remotely fire your camera but cannot wake up the camera in a remote zone. Use a –ACC cable for best results.
FlexTT5: This cable can remotely fire your camera and control half-press function at the camera’s position, but your remote camera will not be able to relay a TTL signal to speedlights. Use an –ACC cable for best results. Learn more here.
