Standard Remote Cable
For remotely triggering Canon cameras equipped with an N3 remote shutter release terminal.
Cable length: 3' (91.5 cm)
(3.5 mm) mono miniphone
To: Canon N3 remote terminal
Catalog Number: CM-N3
US Catalog Number: 804-501
Note: All CM-N3-ACC cables shipped into the market starting July/August 2013 include an MSMM Adapter (stereo to mono miniphone) which converts a CM-N3-ACC cable to a standard CM-N3 miniphone cable. This change coincides with the introduction of our new retail packaging. All cables are now packaged in a eco-friendly 100% recycled paperboard box with white labels showing both ends of the cable as well as a compatibility list. This replaces our old packaging of a zipped plastic bag.
- Plus II
- MultiMAX with no ACC port
- For PlusX, Plus III, MultiMAX with -ACC port, or FlexTT5 radios, use a CM-N3-ACC cable.
Description: This cable connects your PocketWizard radio to your camera’s remote shutter release terminal to enable remote camera triggering.
This standard cable works with most PocketWizard radios but has no half-press control, and is for basic remote triggering only.
A –P cable works with most PocketWizard radios. This pre-trigger cable has a switch that allows you to toggle half-press on or off at the remote camera's position, but not from the transmitting radio. (Using a CM-N3-ACC with a PTMM Adapter will provide the same functions as a CM-N3-P cable.)
An –ACC cable allows a compatible PocketWizard radio to independently control both half-press and full-press functions, as well as relay TTL signals to compatible speedlights when using FlexTT5s. (Using a CM-N3-ACC with an MSMM Adapter will provide the same functions as a CM-N3 cable.)
Compatible with the following radios:
PlusX or Plus II: Use this cable to remotely fire your camera.
MultiMAX with no –ACC port: Use this cable to remotely fire your camera.
MultiMAX with –ACC port: This cable can remotely fire your camera but it has no half-press control. Use a CM-N3-ACC cable for half-press functionality and for best results.
FlexTT5: This cable can be used to remotely fire your camera, like a –P cable or standard cable with a FlexTT5, but your remote camera will not be able to relay a TTL signal to speedlights. Use a CM-N3-ACC cable for best results. Learn more here.
